Wisconsin IoT Council Symposium - Smarter Flow:

Applying AI and Industry 4.0 to Transform Wisconsin Manufacturing

Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm

Location: UW–Milwaukee Connected Systems Institute (CSI)

Wisconsin manufacturers are using AI and connected technologies to make their operations faster, smarter, and more responsive. Join us in Milwaukee for the WI IoT Council’s year-end symposium to hear how industry and university leaders are using data and innovation to reshape manufacturing across Wisconsin.

The morning program will feature presentations from Charter Steel and another leading manufacturer with practical case studies on how they are applying AI and real-time data to improve their operations. The program also includes a panel discussion with three Wisconsin manufacturers on how they are turning data into better decisions.

After lunch, we will tour the Connected Systems Institute (CSI) for an applied innovation session. Attendees will see CSI’s pilot production line and digital twin in action, demonstrating how real-time data is helping manufacturers move from experimentation to measurable results. The session will conclude at the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Lab, where participants can see first-hand how global AI and cloud resources are extending the state’s manufacturing capabilities.

This event brings together business, technology, and academic voices to highlight what’s next for smart manufacturing in Wisconsin, and how companies of all sizes can take the next step.

What We Do

The Council is a professional, member-driven organization committed to establishing Wisconsin as a hub of excellence for the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging technologies. We provide our members with a platform for impactful networking, skill development, business expansion, and the exchange of specialized industry knowledge centered on the implementation of these technologies.

Additionally, we have developed an advocacy platform that seeks funding for training programs to support manufacturing businesses in integrating emerging technologies into their operations and products.

How We Do It

We provide statewide programming for our membership in an event series focused on Education, Capital, Talent, and Policy.  Additionally, we work to connect regional companies on topics of common interests and source and publish case studies of emerging IoT and AI products and implementations that have taken place in Wisconsin.

In bringing our resources to the membership, the Council has developed relationships with the UWEBC and the WMEP.
