OUR STRUCTURE

We are set up to support Wisconsin’s IoT & Connected Product Industry ecosystem and to elevate our industry leadership, global awareness and ability to sustain growth and industry innovation.  We are built to take a high-level assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of our industry ecosystem and respond with education and programming.

Our Advisory Board will listen for what our membership needs and facilitates member engagement and builds programming around needed areas of strategic focus and collaboration.

OUR FORMATION

In Spring of 2019, the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, Sheboygan County’s public/private partnership that leads local economic development efforts, identified that many of their local anchor companies were already working on Internet of Things initiatives and believed the technology would prove to be an integral part of their manufacturing bases future.  As a result, the executive board voted to seed the formation of the Wisconsin IoT Council under the banner of their Fresh Tech Innovation District and subsequently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Midwest Internet of Things Council to become a Chapter Affiliate.  The very first WIoT Council industry event was held in Sheboygan on September 17, 2019.
